Vistra has appointed Raimundo Diaz as Executive Vice President of Vistra Global Solutions, Americas, following a period of investment in the region by the corporate services group.

Diaz will oversee operations across the Americas, focusing on client delivery, performance and long-term growth. He joins as Vistra expands in what it has identified as a priority market.

One of the biggest recent steps in that strategy was the acquisition of Biz Latin Hub. The deal extended Vistra's reach across 18 Latin American markets and added local expertise to its regional business.

The appointment puts an executive with experience across multinational service businesses into a senior regional role. Diaz previously held senior positions at AMLA, TMF Group, Auxadi and Wolters Kluwer.

Vistra provides corporate and administrative services to companies and private capital funds, including payroll and human resources, tax and accounting, legal entity management and regulatory compliance.

The group has more than 9,000 staff across more than 50 markets, giving it a broad international presence as clients seek support in managing cross-border operations. The Americas have become a larger part of that network as Vistra builds out its regional structure.

Regional push

The hire comes as corporate services firms sharpen their focus on regional leadership, particularly in markets where clients need support across several jurisdictions. In Latin America, that often means combining local legal and administrative knowledge with centralised oversight for multinational customers and investment groups.

Biz Latin Hub's operations gave Vistra a wider platform in that environment. The acquisition also signalled an intention to expand not only in the United States but across Latin American jurisdictions where demand for outsourced corporate services has been growing.

Kim Jenkins, Chief Executive Officer of Vistra, said in a statement: "The Americas are a strategically critical region for Vistra and central to our long-term growth ambitions. Raimundo brings strong regional experience, judgment and a proven ability to drive performance. His appointment is a clear investment in leadership strength, execution and scale, and positions us well for our next phase of growth."

The emphasis on leadership and execution suggests Vistra is focused on integrating recent acquisitions and improving delivery across a larger regional base. For companies operating in multiple jurisdictions, consistency of service and local compliance remain two of the biggest operational concerns.

Leadership brief

Diaz takes on the role with responsibility for both operational management and commercial performance. His background includes leading transformation programmes and building teams in international businesses.

His previous employers reflect the cross-border business services sector in which Vistra operates, where scale, local market knowledge and recurring compliance work are central to growth. Bringing in an executive with experience at several rival or adjacent firms may help Vistra refine its model in the Americas as competition for multinational clients intensifies.

In comments released with the announcement, Diaz pointed to the integration of Biz Latin Hub and the company's presence in the United States as key elements of the opportunity ahead. "I'm excited to be joining Vistra at such an important moment for the business and particularly for the Americas. With our strengthening presence in the US and the integration of Biz Latin Hub across Latin America, the opportunity in this region is significant. My focus will be on supporting clients, strengthening performance, and working with the team to build on the Vistra Digital platform. I look forward to driving sustainable growth and long-term value for our clients and shareholders," Diaz said.

The reference to the Vistra Digital platform indicates that technology will remain part of the regional operating model alongside local advisory and administrative work. Companies in the sector have increasingly invested in digital tools to manage compliance workflows, entity data and client reporting across multiple countries.

Even so, local execution remains a decisive factor in markets where regulation, tax rules and employment requirements differ sharply from one jurisdiction to another. That is especially true in Latin America, where businesses often need country-specific support while maintaining group-wide controls.

For Vistra, Diaz's appointment adds senior management weight to a region that has become more prominent in the group's expansion plans following the addition of Biz Latin Hub's network across 18 Latin American markets.
