Centrical has launched a Workforce Orchestration System for organisations managing frontline staff and AI agents. The product is designed to turn business goals into operational performance programmes.

The system lets business leaders set a target in plain language, then generates a programme around that objective, including KPIs, learning, coaching, role-play simulations, certifications and challenges. It deploys that programme through Centrical's software and connected third-party systems, with managers reviewing and approving recommendations before they are put into effect.

The launch reflects a broader shift in enterprise AI from task automation towards tools that tie technology spending more closely to measurable business outcomes. Centrical argues that many companies have adopted AI tools without linking strategy, frontline behaviour, and results.

The system is aimed at what Centrical calls the hybrid frontline, where human employees and AI agents work alongside each other in sales, customer service and operations. In that model, businesses need to track not only productivity and output, but also how responsibilities change as software takes on more tasks.

Centrical says the system creates a continuous cycle between business goals, frontline actions and performance data. It recommends adjustments as programmes run, based on which interventions appear to improve results, while leaving final approval with business leaders.

How it works

The product has three main stages: building a programme from a stated goal, running that programme across existing business systems, and refining it as performance data comes in. The platform connects with customer relationship management, contact centre, learning and conversation intelligence software so it can draw data from those systems and assign actions through them.

That integration is central to Centrical's pitch. Many large organisations already use separate systems for training, coaching, reporting and performance management, often owned by different departments. Centrical is positioning its software as a layer that links those functions to a single objective rather than leaving them as separate workflows.

The platform is also underpinned by what Centrical calls a Frontline Codex, which combines pre-existing programme templates, frontline skills and customer-specific operating context. That includes policies, regulatory requirements, organisational roles and internal KPIs, as well as a graph linking goals, departments, behaviours and outcomes.

Centrical says this model draws on more than a decade of frontline behaviour change data, covering tens of thousands of programmes and millions of employees. Founded in 2013, the company says it serves Fortune 500 customers across 150 countries and 60 languages.

Market context

The launch comes as companies across sectors look for ways to show returns from AI deployments after an initial wave of spending on generative AI and automation tools. Software suppliers increasingly frame new products around decision support, workflow coordination, and measurable outcomes rather than model access alone.

Frontline work has become a particular focus because large employers in retail, financial services, logistics and telecoms often struggle to translate central strategy into consistent behaviour across dispersed teams. Adding AI agents adds another layer of complexity, especially when businesses need to define accountability between automated systems and human staff.

Centrical says one unnamed retailer recorded an eight-point increase in customer satisfaction score within one month of launching a campaign through the system. It did not provide further detail on the scale of that deployment or the baseline measures used.

Gal Rimon, Centrical's Chief Executive Officer and Founder, said the product is intended to close the gap between insight and execution in frontline management.

"Frontline leaders today have access to more information than ever before, but translating that into actions that drive real business impact remains incredibly difficult," said Gal Rimon, Chief Executive Officer and Founder of Centrical.

"Organisations don't need more information, they need execution. The Centrical Workforce Orchestration System changes how quickly businesses can move by building and running the performance programs needed to achieve a business goal, then getting smarter with every cycle, while keeping people in control of the decisions that matter," Rimon said.

Industry analyst Jim Davies said the category is moving beyond performance measurement alone.

"The next generation of customer service technology will need to do more than measure frontline performance," said Jim Davies, Analyst and Executive Partner at Actionary.

"The real opportunity is to connect strategic intent directly to the behaviors, capabilities and actions required to deliver it. Centrical's approach is notable because it treats performance as a continuous execution problem, rather than a reporting or training problem," Davies said.

The system is available through an early access model as Centrical looks to expand its role in how large employers manage frontline execution across people and AI agents.
