NiCE appoints Arun Chandra as COO to lead AI-first operations

Wed, 19th Nov 2025

NiCE has named Arun Chandra as its new Chief Operating Officer, placing him at the helm of its recently formed Global Customer Operations division. Chandra will report directly to Chief Executive Officer Scott Russell and join NiCE's Executive Leadership Team.

Extensive experience

Chandra arrives from the Walt Disney Company, where he was Senior Vice President of Customer Experience. His career includes senior roles at Meta and Hewlett Packard Enterprise. Chandra has built a reputation for driving operational improvements across large, complex organisations in both the technology and entertainment sectors.

At Disney, he was responsible for modernising customer experience across the company's streaming business, which serves more than 195 million subscribers globally and generates USD $24 billion in revenue. His work included deploying AI and automation to enhance engagement, reduce customer friction, and set new standards in digital operations for the sector.

AI-first focus

In his new role, Chandra is tasked with driving NiCE's AI-first customer experience strategy. He will lead a consolidated division that brings together several functions, including partners, customer success and services, marketing, global business operations, IT, and corporate security.

"Arun's leadership will further strengthen NiCE's operational foundation as we continue to accelerate our AI-first vision. He brings a rare combination of technological expertise, strategic clarity, and global operational discipline. His deep understanding of customer experience transformation, combined with his familiarity with NiCE, positions him perfectly to help scale our business and enhance customer outcomes worldwide," said Scott Russell, Chief Executive Officer, NiCE.

Operational alignment

NiCE's business relies on aligning core operational units to deliver consistent service and drive efficiency. Chandra's remit covers integrating these units under one umbrella, seeking to streamline delivery and enhance customer outcomes through a unified approach and an emphasis on automation and analytics.

Chandra's prior experience at major multinationals ties directly to NiCE's aspirations for international growth. He has previously managed global teams implementing large-scale technology transformations, making him familiar with the complexities of multi-regional operations.

Executive credentials

Chandra's academic background includes an MBA from the Leavey School of Business at Santa Clara University, a Master's degree from The Ohio State University, and an undergraduate degree from the Indian Institute of Technology. He has also completed executive training at Harvard Business School on finance and corporate governance.

As COO, Chandra will be responsible for strengthening partnership networks and scaling operations as NiCE pursues customers in more than 150 countries worldwide.

"I am thrilled to join NiCE at such a defining moment for the industry. The company's leadership in AI-powered customer experience and its commitment to operational excellence are unmatched. I have a deep understanding of the significant impact NiCE delivers for leading organisations, and I'm excited to build on that foundation, scaling global operations, deepening partnerships, and ensuring every customer interaction reflects the innovation and integrity that define NiCE," said Arun Chandra, Chief Operating Officer, NiCE.
