Canva & Klaviyo launch one-click email template link

Mon, 20th Apr 2026 (Today)

Canva and Klaviyo have introduced an updated integration for email template design and deployment, allowing users to send complete email templates from Canva to Klaviyo in one click.

The update connects Canva's email builder directly to Klaviyo's Email Template Library, so marketers can move finished email designs into Klaviyo as HTML templates. It removes the need to export files, import them into another system, or rebuild layouts by hand before a campaign goes live.

Klaviyo already offered a Canva integration for images and other design assets. The latest version extends that connection to full email templates rather than individual elements, letting users transfer a complete design with its structure and layout intact.

Once an email is designed in Canva, it can be sent to Klaviyo and stored in the template library for use in campaigns or automated flows. The process is aimed at marketing teams that use separate tools for design and customer messaging and want to reduce the steps between the two.

The update is positioned as a way to reduce friction in email production, where design teams often create assets in one platform and marketers then have to reconstruct them in another. That handoff can add time and create inconsistencies between the original design and the final message sent to customers.

According to Klaviyo, the updated integration is available to both free and Pro Canva users. Customers using both services can connect the tools and begin transferring email templates directly.

Andrew Bialecki, Co-Founder and Co-Chief Executive Officer of Klaviyo, said the integration is intended to narrow the gap between design work and campaign execution.

"Creative and marketing teams often work in separate tools, which slows down the path from design to campaign launch," said Andrew Bialecki, Co-Founder and Co-Chief Executive Officer, Klaviyo. "Our enhanced integration with Canva makes it even easier for marketers to move from beautiful design to personalized customer engagement in just a few steps. Together, Canva and Klaviyo help brands bring creativity and data together to deliver better customer experiences."

Email workflow

The integration centres on Canva's email builder, where layouts are created, and Klaviyo's template management system, where those layouts can now be received as ready-to-use HTML templates. In practice, marketers can create an email in Canva and move that same design into Klaviyo without recreating it from scratch.

That distinction matters because email campaigns typically involve more than static graphics. Full templates include layout, hierarchy and design intent, and rebuilding them manually inside a customer relationship management or email platform can be labour-intensive.

Klaviyo describes itself as an autonomous B2C CRM, with tools focused on customer data and marketing execution. Canva, best known for its design software, has expanded further into business workflows, including tools for presentations, documents, websites and marketing content.

The updated link reflects a broader push by software providers to connect creative tools more closely with marketing systems. For brands, the appeal is reducing the number of manual tasks between content creation and customer outreach.

Executive view

Canva said the integration is part of its effort to make design outputs easier to use across other business software.

"Canva is the AI content creation layer powering how businesses show up online," said Anwar Haneef, GM and Head of Ecosystem, Canva. "We handle the last mile of design, and by connecting directly with Klaviyo, marketers can take a polished, on-brand asset and immediately put it to work, reaching the right audience with a personalized message built to drive revenue."
