Wordly ranked No. 521 on the 2026 Inc. 5000 list and rose to No. 52 among software companies.

The ranking reflects 668% revenue growth over three years.

Wordly, which develops live AI translation and captioning tools, has surpassed 1 billion minutes of translated content and more than 6 million users. Its customers have saved more than USD $200 million compared with traditional human interpretation.

The latest ranking marks a sharp rise from the previous year, with Wordly climbing 1,186 places across all industries and 144 places within the software category. Inc. ranks companies by percentage revenue growth over a three-year period.

Wider Use

Demand for live AI translation has spread beyond international conferences into routine use across education, government, business and community settings. Wordly described multilingual communication as an operational need for organisations serving increasingly diverse audiences.

According to the company, local authorities are using the technology in town halls, city council meetings, emergency alerts and community events. Schools and universities are deploying it for parent-teacher conferences, orientations and graduation ceremonies, while businesses are using it for global meetings, staff training, onboarding and company-wide updates.

Faith groups have also adopted the software for services and community programmes. In the events sector, Wordly now supports more than 1,000 multi-day conferences each year with real-time translation during live sessions and translated access to recorded content afterwards.

Shift in Trust

Wordly pointed to findings from its 2026 State of AI Translation & Captions Report, which found that 66% of enterprise event planners believe live AI translation exceeds the quality of human interpreters. The result suggests a shift in how some buyers assess translation tools for large audiences and frequent communications.

Wordly has also added products aimed at extending translation across meetings and event workflows. These include Workspaces, broader Microsoft Teams support, real-time AI subtitles for keynote sessions, voice transcripts for recorded content, automatic language detection and updates to its mobile app.

The additions are designed to support communication before, during and after live events, including hybrid meetings, in-person gatherings, campus events and public meetings where participants may speak different languages.

A company executive linked the ranking to broader changes in customer behaviour.

"Moving up to No. 52 validates a fundamental market shift," said Lakshman Rathnam, Founder & CEO, Wordly. "Real-time multilingual content is no longer just something large industry conferences add when they need it. We're seeing businesses, universities, and public agencies use it across meetings, town halls, training, and live events because multilingual communication has become part of their everyday operations."

Wordly's services are used in more than 120 countries.
