Domain launches to unite AI & humans in workplace collaboration

Fri, 14th Nov 2025

A new collaboration platform, Domain, has launched with the aim of combining artificial intelligence with human input to address the growing fragmentation in workplace communication and knowledge-sharing.

The fragmentation problem

Contemporary workplaces increasingly rely on disconnected systems such as Slack for communication, LinkedIn for networking, and email for coordination. This fragmentation often leads to a loss of context, continuity and efficiency, as ideas and information become siloed and progress is hindered by constant switching between platforms.

AI and human synergy

Domain seeks to bring work, networks, and information together in a single platform. The tool uses AI to maintain a continuous record of work, capturing notes, decisions, links, and conversations, and giving users a persistent context across projects. Unlike single-prompt AI tools, Domain retains memory so that previous discussions and insights can influence ongoing work, promising a more coherent flow of information for users over time.

The platform also incorporates real-time human collaboration, matching users with relevant peers based on the value they can add to a specific project, not solely on profile information. Human contributors are able to add insights, critique assumptions, and refine ideas. Over time, the collaborative process aims to produce richer project contexts and sharper outcomes, reflecting the combined contributions of both AI and human participants.

System features

Domain's AI agent organises content, connects projects to relevant knowledge, and highlights patterns that users might otherwise overlook. The platform's structure prioritises compiling knowledge rooted in actual work rather than generic information, with the stated aim of generating highly relevant perspectives that move ideas forward.

This approach, according to the company, allows individuals and teams to build networks grounded on contributory value, rather than simple connectivity. The platform was developed in partnership with ON_Discourse, a network of business leaders and investors, and has been tested with a group of over 150 members from ON_Discourse's community, including C-Suite executives, entrepreneurs and investors.

Industry backing

Domain has secured backing from key figures in the technology and business sectors. Addressing the motivations behind the project, Toby Daniels, Co-founder of Domain and ON_Discourse, stated:

"Every great shift in work begins quietly, an early signal before the world catches on. AI is ready to hold the context of our work. People are ready to reconnect around ideas that matter. The convergence of these will define the next decade of progress."

Dan Gardner, Executive Chairman of Code and Theory and an early investor in Domain, commented on the platform's market positioning:

"LinkedIn keeps professionals connected but not collaborative, while Slack connects teams but not networks. Domain creates connected contexts, gathering the right people, organizing background, and building on every conversation instead of scattering it. The power comes from combining what AI does best, structure, with what humans do best, imagination."
