Clueso raises USD $10 million to automate business videos

Clueso has raised USD $10 million in a Series A round, bringing its total funding to USD $12 million.
Dharana Capital led the investment. New backers Founders Future and Neotribe Ventures joined the round, alongside existing investors Y Combinator and f7 Ventures. More than 80% of the new capital came from existing investors.
The San Francisco-based company sells a video creation platform for business users. More than 1,000 companies use its software for marketing, customer education, onboarding, training, sales enablement, and internal operations.
Named customers include Atlassian, Zendesk, Gainsight, GlobalPartners, Seismic, and Ironclad. According to Clueso, teams using the platform have reported productivity gains of more than five times and an 80% reduction in video production costs.
Business focus
Clueso's approach centres on software agents that handle the steps involved in creating and updating business videos. Rather than relying only on prompts, the system can access a company's products, processes, and brand rules to generate footage, scripts, voiceovers, motion graphics, and edits.
The platform also targets a recurring problem for businesses that produce large volumes of instructional and product content: videos can become outdated quickly when products, workflows, or internal processes change. Clueso says its platform can rerun workflows and refresh content when those changes occur.
The company was founded by Akash Anand, Prajwal Prakash, and Neel Balar, who said they first encountered the problem at their previous company. The platform is designed for use across an organisation rather than within a single department.
"We originally started by helping customer-facing teams create product tutorials faster," said Akash Anand, Co-Founder and Chief Executive Officer of Clueso. "We quickly saw the same problem across marketing, sales, training, and internal documentation. That made us realize the opportunity was much bigger. Today, Clueso acts as an AI video production team that anyone or any team in the organization can rely on, handling the work of creating, editing, and maintaining videos as the business moves."
Customer use
Companies often begin with one team and then expand use of the platform across other departments. At Zendesk, it is used for both internal and customer-facing content.
Atlassian's customer learning team described the software as a way to reduce manual work in video production.
"Clueso has fundamentally simplified how we produce learning videos at scale," said Garrett Marttinen, Head of Customer Learning at Atlassian. "They help us turn rough, scrappy input into polished, on-brand output, streamlining our workflows and dramatically reducing the burden of creation and maintenance for my team. Clueso has also been a genuine partner, pushing the boundaries of video creation and quickly turning our feedback into shipped product."
Zendesk also cited lower production time and broader video output.
"Clueso's agent makes it easy to automatically transform product knowledge into polished, engaging learning experiences with far less manual effort," said Kevin Gross, Senior Manager of Instructional Design at Zendesk. "It has helped us reduce production time and expand our video output."
Investor view
Investors in the round said they see a gap in the market for business video tools closely tied to product and workflow changes. That differs from much of the recent attention in AI video, which has focused on consumer and creator applications.
Clueso says its system can navigate software directly, perform workflows to capture footage, and apply company-specific standards for voice, visual style, localisation, motion graphics, and music. It also offers integrations with other business tools and support for AI assistants to create, edit, and manage videos through its system.
"Video is one of the most effective formats enterprises use to train teams, educate customers, and sell products. However, traditional video production was never designed for enterprise volume and velocity," said Vamsi Duvvuri, Founder and Managing Partner of Dharana Capital. "With AI, video is evolving from static media files into living, context-aware assets that continuously adapt as business processes and products change. Clueso is building the infrastructure powering this shift. We are impressed by their customer obsession and speed of execution, and are excited to partner with them in their next phase of growth."
