NetRise adds key executives as it eyes global market growth

Wed, 23rd Apr 2025

NetRise has announced three appointments to its executive leadership team as part of efforts to strengthen its go-to-market strategies and accelerate business growth.

Rick Beattie has been appointed as Chief Revenue Officer, Gary Schwartz will take up the role of Vice President of Marketing, and Robbie Robbins has joined as Vice President of Business Development and Partners.

The newly appointed executives will focus on developing global sales strategies, expanding the company's presence through partner channels, and ensuring continued customer success in the increasingly vital field of software supply chain security.

Tom Pace, Chief Executive Officer of NetRise, stated, "Our new additions to the leadership team bring a strong combination in developing and executing strategic direction and operational frameworks that will accelerate our expansion strategies. Software supply chain attacks are on the rise, and it's our mission to help organizations close the security gap in detecting and responding to these risks. Beattie, Schwartz, and Robbins bring a proven track record and deep experience in delivering customer growth and market share. I look forward to working together as we extend our reach and continue to deliver best-in-class solutions that enable our customers to secure their software supply chain."

Rick Beattie joins NetRise following his tenure as Executive Vice President of Cloud Security, Global Sales at Tenable. In this role, he was instrumental in increasing the company's global cloud revenue by 260% following the acquisition of Ermetic, where he had also played a key role in achieving triple-digit growth. Beattie has over three decades of experience in sales executive leadership, contributing to the growth and success of organisations, securing funding, and participating in strategic acquisitions and IPOs. His previous experience includes roles with Q1 Labs (IBM), Carbon Black, Bugcrowd, Corelight, and Ermetic (Tenable).

Gary Schwartz steps into the Vice President of Marketing position with a substantial background in guiding companies through to successful exits. Over the past two decades, Schwartz has built a record of leading sales and marketing teams, designing and applying go-to-market strategies, and boosting annual recurring revenue at firms such as Veracode, Transfr, Forter, Vidyo, RightAnswers, and Confirmit. Schwartz most recently founded What Great Looks Like, a consultancy advising B2B SaaS vendors on go-to-market strategies for cybersecurity and fostering alignment between teams to achieve sales targets.

Robbie Robbins has been named Vice President of Business Development and Partners and is tasked with accelerating channel growth and building strategic alliances for NetRise. Robbins brings 20 years of experience in business development, having formed successful alliances and secured key accounts for ReFirm Labs, ThreatConnect, Raytheon and PGP Corporation. Robbins' background in guiding teams and forming impactful relationships is expected to support NetRise's expansion into new markets.

NetRise has experienced recent growth, launching new products and forming new partnerships, while gaining industry recognition. The company's recent funding round raised USD $10 million in growth capital, led by DNX Ventures with continued support from existing investors Miramar Digital Ventures, Sorenson Capital, Squadra Ventures, and Talons Ventures, bringing its total funding to USD $24.8 million.

NetRise, based in Austin, Texas, provides solutions focused on software supply chain security by analysing compiled code to generate software asset inventories and identify associated risks. The platform is used both by software producers and device manufacturers as well as cybersecurity professionals in enterprise and federal government settings to detect vulnerabilities and respond quickly to threats in deployed assets.

The company plans to build on its growth by expanding its innovation efforts and strengthening its organisational capabilities as it moves into the next phase of its development.
