Ignition appoints Bec Donnelly as VP for global expansion
Ignition has appointed Bec Donnelly as Senior Vice President of People & Culture as it targets global expansion.
Donnelly transitions to Ignition from SiteMinder, a company valued at over USD $1 billion, where she excelled in HR leadership capacities. At Ignition, she will be responsible for scaling the organisation worldwide and driving productivity through the development of high performing teams.
Greg Strickland, Chief Executive Officer of Ignition, commented on the appointment: "Growing a company isn't just about attracting and retaining great talent. It's about managing growth so that we maintain excellence and stay true to our desired culture, mission, and vision. That's what Bec Donnelly brings us. As a seasoned global P&C leader, Bec's extensive experience in scaling people and culture all the way to $1b+ companies is exactly what we need to get ready for our next phase of accelerated growth."
At SiteMinder, Donnelly served as Vice President of People and was a key figure in HR leadership, managing operations, talent acquisition, and organisational development during periods of significant growth. In 2021, she took on the role of acting Chief People Officer and played a pivotal role in preparing the global team for one of the year's most successful initial public offerings.
Donnelly brings with her a wealth of experience in fostering successful business environments, backed by her extensive career spanning the full breadth of human resources. Her expertise includes people-driven business strategies and creating high-performance teams, evidenced by her work with organisations such as Commonwealth Bank and ASIC. Based in Sydney, she has been crucial in spearheading international expansions.
Bec Donnelly expressed her enthusiasm about her new role at Ignition: "Ignition is all about transformational change as it prepares for its next wave of growth, which is what excites me about the opportunity. We're poised for strong growth, but product and strategy can't evolve without people. Building exceptional teams and also creating the space for people to excel and develop is my passion. Ignition is already a great company, with a fantastic product, and an incredible team. Getting to build on that type of solid foundation is an HR dream."
