Clapper hits milestone with 10 million monthly users

Today

Clapper has announced that it has surpassed 10 million monthly active users, reflecting the growing appeal of its ad-free platform that prioritises creator and user experience.

The platform, known for fostering connections and community building, has seen a marked increase in new creators and users. Clapper recorded 2 million daily active users as of 20 January and achieved the number three position in iOS downloads in the United States.

Edison Chen, Founder and CEO of Clapper, expressed enthusiasm about the platform's growth. "We are excited that so many creators and users are turning to our platform," he said. "When we founded Clapper five years ago, we took a radically different approach to social media by establishing a business model based on our creators' success – not ad revenue – and by employing an equal opportunity algorithm. We are proud to see exponential growth of our community on Clapper, where every voice has the right and opportunity to be heard."

Clapper offers a platform where creators are supported from the outset. Direct access to the partnership team and an algorithm that ensures all creators have an equal chance to gain visibility are key features. Clapper facilitates monetisation for creators from day one. According to the platform, a user with a following of 150,000 on TikTok could potentially gain 1,000 Clapper followers with just four posts.

Clapper has established a minimum age requirement of 17 and maintains robust safety and content policies. These policies are continuously enhanced, aiming to offer a secure environment where adults can connect over shared interests and hobbies. This focus on safety and common interests distinguishes Clapper from many other social media platforms.
